Mrs. K’s Toll House, which has been closed since March 2020 due to the pandemic, is expected to reopen, but under new management.
According to Washington City Paper, the team from Takoma Beverage Co. signed a 20-year lease and plan to utilize the outside gardens and restaurant as a beer and wine garden and fine dining restaurant.
Chris Brown, owner and general manager at Takoma Beverage Co., did not respond to MyMCM at the time this article was posted. The rental agent told MyMCM he was asked not to give out any information.
Mrs. K’s, on Colesville Road, has been a landmark in Silver Spring for 90 years.
So excited about @takomabevco leaders reopening the Mrs. K's space as Zinnia, an all-day restaurant, cafe and tavern! Congrats and thanks to Chris, Seth, Brad, Marvin & the whole team! https://t.co/uLzvFRZAsS
