The City of Takoma Park is providing assistance to tenant associations interested in purchasing their buildings through two webinars.
The Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Program allows neighbors to own their apartment building together. It also increases the possibility for tenants to become first time home buyers, according to the city’s website.
Residents must be part of a tenant association to purchase the building together. Information about forming a tenant association can be found here.
The first webinar will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. The second will be held Monday, Aug. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. Both webinars are on Zoom.
