Takoma Park Police are investigating an early Monday morning armed carjacking and robbery in the parking of the Red Carpet Inn in 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Ward 6.
According to police, at 3:26 a.m. a woman was parking her vehicle when two Hispanic males approached her. One of the suspects pointed a black handgun at her while they both patted her down and took all her belongs. They then stole her vehicle.
The passenger exited the stolen car a short distance away and entered another vehicle. Both vehicles fled in the direction of New Hampshire Avenue, according to police.
The woman was not seriously injured. The stolen vehicle was a 2006 green BMW 325 with the Maryland tag 89574CL.
