Takoma Park will host poet ambassadors from the Free Minds Book Club and Writing Workshop to read poetry written while incarcerated May 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Takoma Park Community Center.
“Poetry from Behind Bars” is a free event and is part of the Takoma Park’s Arts cultural series currently featured at the community center.
Free Minds is a non-profit organization serving incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youths and adults using literary resources and peer support, according to their website.
