Many voters at Takoma Park Middle School on Piney Branch Road said they were concerned with affordable housing, women’s rights, education and other social issues as they cast their ballots.
Voting appeared light for much of the day. At 11 a.m., 83 residents had voted.
As a school teacher, Sarah Pfanz voted with education in mind. For Emille Robinson, affordable housing for seniors weighed heavy on her mind.
Voters have until 8 p.m. to cast their vote.
