Teen Arrested Following Burglary, Police Pursuit

Evan Michael Cutler, 18, was arrested in connection with a commercial burglary that led to a police chase on Wednesday.

At about 11 p.m., Montgomery County Police responded to the 8000 block of Cessna Avenue in Gaithersburg following a report of a commercial burglary.

When officers arrived, they saw a black Cadillac CT5 leaving the vacant property. When officers initiated a traffic stop, the driver drove off and led officers on a pursuit down I270 and onto I495. The driver crashed into a parked vehicle, and four suspects attempted to run away.

Culter was apprehended quickly and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries from the collision. The other three occupants have not been arrested.

Police searched the Cadillac and found items stolen during the commercial burglary.

Cutler, of Capital Heights, Md., was transported to Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and charged with second-degree burglary. He is currently being held without bond.

He is charged with burglary and theft. His preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 21.
