Starting today, tennis and pickleball courts will not be available for play.
Montgomery Parks announced the decision to close tennis and pickleball courts, citing COVID-19 guidelines about social distancing and use of shared equipment. They encourage residents to partake in solo physical activities such as hiking, biking and running in their trails and parks. They remind residents to maintain at least six feet of distance from others, refrain from participating in team and contact sports and to avoid touching surfaces such as sport and playground equipment.
Montgomery Parks had recently closed all indoor park facilities and prohibited the use of playgrounds to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Use our parks and trails from sunrise to sunset for fresh air and exercise, like hiking, biking, running, and walking.
Follow posted COVID-19 guidelines in the parks and on the trails, and be smart and do your part to stop the spread.
