During National Nurses Day Wednesday, Gov. Larry Hogan, County Executive Marc Elrich, Councilmember Andrew Friedson and many others, including all of us at Montgomery Community Media, are reaching out to give special shout outs to the nurses for all they are doing and continue to do during this pandemic.
“I am asking residents to honor the nurses who are working on the front lines to save lives,” Elrich said in a short video. “You are all truly amazing.”
In a tweet, Friedson described nurses as “fearless, dedicated, compassionate.”
Councilmember Andrew Friedson honored LeighAnn Sidone, Chief Nursing Officer at Suburban Hospital, Johns Hopkins Medicine in Bethesda, as a Local COVID Hero who stepped up during this pandemic.
