AMC Montgomery 16 is now listed as a location on the AMC website under the Washington, D.C. locations. The theater has the following address: 7101 Democracy Boulevard Bethesda, MD. This is the same address as what was formerly known as ArcLight Bethesda.
In April 2021, ArcLight Cinemas announced that it was permanently closing all locations after shutting its doors for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Despite a huge effort that exhausted all potential options, the company does not have a viable way forward,” Pacific Theaters, the parent company that owned ArcLight Cinemas, said in a statement when they announced the closure.
There is no official information on when the AMC Montgomery 16 is set to open to the public. Representatives from AMC Theatres and Westfield Montgomery Mall were not immediately available for comment.
