‘The Teachers’ Author Coming to Gaithersburg Book Festival

Have you ever wondered about being a teacher? Or maybe you are a teacher and you wonder what others think of your profession. New York Time best-selling author, Alexandra Robbins, tells the true stories of three teachers over the course of a school year. Robbins is one of more than 130 authors coming to the Gaithersburg Book Festival on Saturday, May 20.

Robbins will present her book, “The Teachers: A Year Inside America’s Most Vulnerable, Important Profession” Saturday, May 20 at the Gaithersburg Book Festival.

Here is Mayor Jud Ashman with a quick review of Robbin’s “The Teachers.”

Robbins presents at 4:15 p.m. in the James Michener Pavilion and will be signing books at 5:15 p.m.

The Gaithersburg Book Festival website has a master schedule of author presentations, workshops, book signings and more.

The Gaithersburg Book Festival takes place Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Bohrer Park, 506 S. Frederick Avenue. The festival is free to attend with numerous options for parking.
