Third Person Charged in Connection with 2023 Homicide

Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) charged Alonzo Jerome Lyles of Gaithersburg, 22, in connection with the death of Orlando Alexander Satz, Jr. of Capital Heights from November 2023.

MCPD obtained a warrant on Sept. 25 charging Lyles with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, according to a press release. MCPD said Lyles is being held without bond on unrelated charges.

Satz Jr. 20, died on Nov. 28, 2023, after he crashed his car into a parked vehicle on Spruell Drive, according to the release. Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the call and observed gunshot wounds.

MCPD said two other suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with Satz Jr.’s death.

Jose Ramon Ventura of Silver Spring was arrested on June 20 and charged with accessory after the fact for driving and transporting the other two suspects on the night of the shooting, according to MCPD. Ventura is being held without bond.

De’shaun McCrimmon of Kensington was arrested in Silver Spring on Aug. 27 after detectives obtained a warrant on Aug. 24 charging him with first-degree murder, according to the press release. McCrimmon is being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit (CPU) without bond.
