Students in the cosmetology program at Thomas Edison High School of Technology in Silver Spring will be opening a salon on Thursday as a SkillsUSA fundraiser.
The salon will be located at the school that branches off of Wheaton High School and will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The student-run, teacher-supervised salon will offer multiple services, including haircuts, blow drying, hair styling, face makeup, waxing, hot oil manicures, and color hair extensions. Each service costs $20, with the funds going directly to supporting students who will head to the SkillsUSA state and national competitions.
To schedule a service, you can email tonga.n.quan@mcpsmd.net or leslie.garcia@mcspmd.net.
