Three Killed, One in Serious Condition as SUV Crashes into Snow Plow

UPDATED at 1:30 p.m. 

The crash involved a black Cadillac SRX, which was travelling north on Columbia Pike before colliding into the back of a white Peterbilt snowplow dump truck, which also was going north, according to Montgomery County Police.

Police identified the three deceased victims as 27-year-old Shawde Ajee Nayonta Wicks of Clinton, Md.; 41-year-old Natasha Ann Hunter of Baltimore, Md.; and 52-year-old Gary Eugene Early of Baltimore, Md.

A passenger was extricated from the rear of the Cadillac and is in serious condition. The truck driver was not injured and remained on the scene, police said.

Several hours after the area’s heavy snowfall subsided, an SUV with four occupants collided with a snow plow on Columbia Pike at Briggs Chaney Road in Fairland Monday at 6:45 p.m.

According to Montgomery County Police, two females and one male were pronounced dead at the scene and a male was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

According to a tweet from Pete Piringer, spokesperson for the Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue, three people in the SUV had to be extricated.

MCP continues to investigate the fatal accident and expects to release details of the crash when more information is known. The names of the deceased will be released after police notify the next of kin.
