Montgomery County is hosting a “Stop the Violence” community town hall on Wednesday, July 12 in Germantown.
The meeting will be held in the Germantown Library from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
The event is targeted at Germantown youth and their families. Participants will discuss possible solutions to youth violence in Germantown and how to support young people.
“While gun violence has increased around the country, our Germantown community is under siege and it has to stop,” District 2 Councilmember Marilyn Balcombe said in a Tweet last month following a shooting in Germantown. “It breaks my heart that this is happening here.”
