Two Silver Spring men charged with first-degree murder in connection with a Feb. 17 shooting are being held without bond.
Jackson Alexander Garcia, 18, (pictured on the right) and Malik Dujuan Jefferson, 23, are charged with the homicide of Jose Osvaldo Genao Romero, 22, of Rockville.
Officers from Rockville City Police and Montgomery County responded to the area of 14000 Cove Lane for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they found Romero at the intersection of Bradley Avenue and Fletcher Place. He was suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police.
Officers applied life-saving measures until Montgomery County Fire and Rescue arrived and took the victim to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Both men will have a preliminary hearing on March 18 in Montgomery District Court in Rockville.
