Unclaimed $1 Million Winning Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Sold in Silver Spring

A Mega Millions lottery ticket with a prize of $1 million was sold for the Tuesday, April 18 drawing at the 7-Eleven store on Georgia Avenue, according to a press release by Maryland Lottery.

As of Monday, the prize remains unclaimed.

The winning numbers were 7, 9, 15, 19, and 25. The Mega Ball number was 4 and the optional multiplier number was 2. Maryland Lottery is advising everyone who purchases a Mega Million ticket for the April 18 drawing to check as there were 11,721 winning tickets sold in Maryland with prizes ranging from $2 to $1 million.

The ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 12405 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. For selling the winning ticket, the retailer receives a $2,500 bonus for the Lottery.

The prize must be claimed by the third week in October.

Winners have 182 days after a drawing to claim their prize. Players may scan their tickets at any lottery retailer or with the lottery’s mobile app to determine if they have a winning ticket. Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe location.

The winner of the $1 million ticket may redeem the prize by mail or in person at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.  More information on claiming prizes is available on the Maryland Lottery’s website.
