During a virtual media briefing on Monday, Montgomery County Council President Tom Hucker and Council Vice President Gabe Albornoz discussed the Silver Spring Business Improvement District(BID) and its effort to “promote economic growth” in the downtown Silver Spring area.
But just last week the bill was vetoed by County Executive Marc Elrich. Still, some county council members say they’re in the process of pushing forward for a possible solution – which includes getting feedback from small business owners in downtown Silver Spring.
Regarding the Silver Spring Business Improvement District(BID), Council President Hucker says teams are currently getting feedback from the community and conducting surveys while engaging with small businesses owners to understand their needs and concerns. @mymcmedia
