Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) are responding to a call Tuesday afternoon that came in around 1:20 p.m. A van transporting special needs passengers ran off the road. It was travelling on the northbound ramp from I270 to Shady Grove and Redland Boulevard in Rockville.
According to MCFRS spokesman Pete Piringer, the van was transporting at least six passengers when it ran off the ramp. The six passengers were evaluated on scene and transported to a local hospital. All injuries were considered non life threatening.
