Joel Rodriguez, a graduate of Northwest High School, died in a three-vehicle fatal crash on Sunday. Rodriguez was a Montgomery College student at the time of his death.
Another person was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital and the third person involved in the crash was evaluated at the site.
The fatal crash happened around 4:20 a.m. Sunday March 20 on Clara Barton Parkway in Bethesda, Montgomery County fire officials said.

Rodríguez was a “very bright young man, always positive, who impacted all those he came in contact with,” said the family on the GoFundMe page. His “warm smile and generous heart will always be remembered.” The family is trying to raise $20,000 for funeral expenses.
