Viral comedian Sarah Cooper is getting her own Netflix special.
Cooper, a Magruder High School alum, has been in the limelight recently for her TikTok videos lip-syncing to President Donald Trump. On April 23, Cooper shared a TikTok called “How to Medical” in which she lip-synced to and poked fun at Trump making comments about how to cure COVID-19. As of Thursday, the video has 22.4 million views on Twitter and almost 575,000 likes. Since then, Cooper has been receiving ongoing attention for her content.

Cooper, 42, was born in Jamaica and moved to Rockville when she was 3 years old. After graduating from Magruder, she attended and graduated from the University of Maryland.
“Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine” will premiere this fall. According to Netflix, the show will be “full of vignettes dealing with issues of politics, race, gender, class, and other light subjects.” It will be directed by Natasha Lyonee. One of the executive producers is comedian and actress Maya Rudolph, who received an Emmy nomination this year for her portrayal of vice presidential-nominee Sen. Kamala Harris.
