Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students and families learned safe practices for getting to school in recognition of annual Walk to School Day.
Local leaders joined students Wednesday morning at Wheaton Woods Elementary School in Rockville. Officials say the county is making some progress in pedestrian safety.
