Although this year marked Warrior Canine Connection’s eighth annual graduation, it was their first virtual ceremony. The special presentation showcased successful service dog placements that will help veterans in need nationwide.
On Saturday, six Veteran Service Dog teams, two Facility Dogs, and five Breeder Dogs graduated.

WCC is headquartered in Boyds, and officials say 75 dogs have been placed with service members and veterans to-date. That includes service dogs, facility dogs, and military family support dogs. However, due to the Mission Based Trauma Recovery training program’s unique nature, where Veterans train dogs for their fellow Warriors, WCC programs have impacted nearly 5,000 Veterans. During training, each dog interacts with up to 60 Veterans along the way, WCC officials say.
Congratulations to WCC’s Class of 2020!
Thank you, Alice Belthoff for this beautiful video. #FurTheLoveOfVeterans https://t.co/Ya5jRAyEWx
