The Washington Sports Club on Wayne Avenue in Downtown Silver Spring is permanently closed.
According to a sign on the front door, members will be given prorated refunds. Washington Sports Clubs’ other locations in Washington, D.C. are still open.
The club featured a swimming pool, courts for tennis, racquet ball and squash and hi-tech fitness machines.
Posted on the door is a sign that noted, “Attention Members. This club is permanently closed. If you were charged this month, you will be given a prorated refund. Please check our website and look for an email to your account we have on file for an update.”
