
The Greater Rockville Chamber of Commerce will host a full-day webinar on navigating the shrinking federal contract market. The event, Pivoting Again: Handling the New World of Federal Contract Work, takes place Monday, March 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Best Western Premier Rockville Hotel & Suites, 1251 W Montgomery Ave, Rockville.
Financial experts, marketing professionals, and experienced government contractors will share tools and strategies to help businesses transition to commercial markets. Sessions include financial analysis, marketing, cost-cutting, and networking strategies.
The event begins at 9 a.m. with a financial metrics workshop. A roundtable on marketing to commercial clients follows at 10 a.m., and another on cost-cutting during transitions at 11 a.m. A boxed lunch and networking break will run from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
A panel discussion at 12:15 p.m. will explore new revenue streams and pricing strategies in commercial markets. At 2 p.m., another panel will cover building long-term business relationships. The event concludes with a Q&A session at 3 p.m.
Attendees will receive a handout outlining five key steps for shifting to commercial work.
