Survivors of gun violence, sexual assault, and domestic violence can find support through a series of five weekly healing drum circles held at a Gaithersburg church in May.
Hosted by the Victims’ Rights Foundation and Carpe Diem Arts, the program aims to ease trauma-induced anxiety and depression while nurturing community and belonging.
Led by drum circle leader Uasuf Gueye, sessions are open to teens (16+) and adults. The hour long sessions begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays in May.
Participants will embark on a journey of healing, renewal, and empowerment through the rhythmic resonance of the drum.
Pathways Baptist Church is located at 200 W. Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg.
