Montgomery County government offices and services will operate on modified schedules for Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 17.
County and State Services:
- County offices: Closed.
- MC 311: Closed.
- State offices and courts: Closed.
- State Motor Vehicle Administration offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program stations: Closed.
- Department of Permitting Services: Closed.
Transportation:
- Ride On, Ride On Flex, and Ride On extRa: Operating on a holiday schedule.
- Flash: Orange Route will follow a holiday schedule; Blue Route will not operate.
- MARC Train: Running on an “R” schedule on all three lines. Penn Line Trains 453 and 452 will operate. The Brunswick Line will follow the “R” schedule. EPTA bus service to West Virginia stations will run from Train 875 at Brunswick.
- TRiPS Silver Spring commuter store: Open 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- TRiPS mobile commuter store: Closed.
- Metrorail: Running on a Saturday holiday schedule, 5 a.m.-midnight.
- Metrobus: Operating with Saturday Supplemental service.
Parking and Waste Collection:
- Public parking garages, lots, and curbside meters: Free.
- County-provided trash and recycling: No collections on Monday. Pickup will shift one day, with final collections on Saturday, Feb. 22.
- Shady Grove Transfer Station and Recycling Center: Closed.
Recreation and Alcohol Sales:
- Libraries: Closed Sunday, Feb. 16, and Monday, Feb. 17.
- Alcohol Beverage Services stores: Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Aquatic and recreation centers: Open.
- Recreation administrative offices and senior centers: Closed.
Montgomery Parks:
- Montgomery Parks headquarters and permits offices: Closed.
- Brookside Gardens visitor center and conservatory: Closed.
- Montgomery Parks public information and customer service office: Closed.
