It’s Fiesta time at Westfield Wheaton Mall in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.
The shopping destination will hold its 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration this Saturday Sept. 30, as part of the mall’s commitment to cultural and educational enrichment. The event is free and open to the public, welcoming the Montgomery County community and more, from 1 to 5 p.m., in the Macy’s Lower Court.
Westfield Wheaton Mall serves one of the most diverse populations in the nation and will host a stellar lineup of entertainment throughout the day. Festivities promise to transport mall patrons across borders while encouraging creativity through dance, music, and meaningful connections.
Attendees can look forward to live musical performances by singers Capital 51 and Etnia, as well as folklore dance performances by the following troupes: Folklore Salvadoreño USA from El Salvador, Kids of Caporales San Simon Virginia USA from Bolivia, Las Chiapanecas from Mexico and Jenny Osoria from the Dominican Republic.
TV personality Stefani Gamboa will join local radio stars Chele Gonzalez and Cesar Garcia as hosts, and social media star Tía María will make a special guest appearance. Families will be treated to an array of additional attractions including face painting, balloon figures, clown shows, and a bilingual theatrical showcase.
