Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center and the Wheaton Arts & Entertainment District are teaming up to present the TGIF Summer Concert Series.
The weekly concert series begins Friday, July 7. All events will be held at Marian Fryer Town Plaza near the Wheaton Metro Station. No tickets are required.
A DJ set will begin at 5 p.m. each Friday and a live concert will follow at 6 p.m. Twin Valley Distillers will serve cocktails and drinks and there will also be an after-party that rotates between local bars.
Chuck Levin’s has curated the artists performing in the series. Black Masala — a Washington, D.C.-based brass band — will be kicking the summer off.
In addition to providing live entertainment, the concert series is a celebration of the 65th anniversary of Chuck Levin’s.
“Chuck Levin’s has become a cultural landmark where musicians of all levels congregate to buy, browse and rent equipment,” a press release announcing the concert series said.
