The Winter Storm Watch issued earlier Saturday has now been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning beginning Sunday at 10 p.m. through Tuesday at 1 a.m. Residents should prepare for a major winter weather event with heavy snow and ice likely according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
NWS says to expect difficult travel and scattered power outages. Do not approach downed utility wires as they still may be energized.
