The National Weather Service (NWS) extended the winter weather advisory for areas of Montgomery County to last until 1 p.m. Tuesday.
NWS reported that parts of Montgomery County, Washington D.C. and northern Virginia could expect to see an additional two inches of snow.
Inclement weather may affect the morning commute, so drivers should proceed with caution, according to NSW.
Capital Weather Gang (CWG) reported around 10:40 a.m. that fallen snow was ‘inconsequential,’ inside the Beltway. Rather the snow with substantive accumulation was focused in the areas of Frederick and Leesburg.

We can't say it enough–DON'T CROWD THE PLOWS! Crews continue to clear and treat roads. Give them plenty of room to work and only pass when it is safe to do so. #mdotsafety #mdotcares #mdWx tr pic.twitter.com/xapqdT4WRI
