A winter weather advisory is in effect until 3 p.m. on Monday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Montgomery County is expected to see a rapid onset of snow with snow accumulating up to one inch.
Residents may experience slippery road conditions into morning and evening commutes. Travelers are encouraged to slow down and use caution on driveways, sidewalks and steps to prevent injuries.
Central and northern Maryland and northern Virginia will be affected, including central and southeast Montgomery County.
Winter Weather Advisories have been expanded to areas along/west of I-95. Remain vigilant—slick roads are a possibility. Headlights on, wipers on, leave extra time for braking. #MdWx https://t.co/xDESFd593n
