The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for 10 a.m. Saturday through 10 p.m. for the northwest area of Montgomery County. A mixture of snow, freezing rain, and rain is expected.
Drivers may experience slippery road conditions and are encouraged to drive at slower speeds, leave plenty of space between cars and use caution on driveways, sidewalks and steps to prevent injuries.
Precipitation is expected to begin as snow between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., change to freezing rain and then rain between 1 and 4 p.m.
Predictions are for 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation with up to one tenth of an inch of ice. Heavier snow is predicted for areas north and west of the county.
