The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory for Montgomery County between the hours of 9 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday.

The storm may bring an accumulation of around 2 to 4 inches of snow. The heaviest snow is expected between 10 p.m. Thursday until 2 a.m Friday.
These weather conditions will primarily effect northern and central Maryland, Washington and Baltimore and their suburbs.
Residents should expect slippery roads that may impact the Friday morning commute.
County Issues Hypothermia Alert
The county has issued a hyp0thermia alert from 11 p.m. Wednesday through noon on Thursday. Temperatures will be in the teens and 20s. County officials advise residents to wear layers of clothing when outside and take precautions when spending extended time outdoors. Information about cold weather and the signs of hypothermia is available on the county’s website.
