Wiseguy Pizza in Wheaton opened Wednesday, bringing its New York style pizza to the Westfield Wheaton mall.
This is the fifth location for the family-run and minority-owned company. Two of the stores are in Washington, D.C. and two are in Virginia.
“We are so excited to join the Wheaton Mall family and provide our award-winning pizza slices and pies to those looking for the perfect bite to eat while shopping,” said Alex Berentzen, COO of Thompson Hospitality.
The pizzeria offers vegan and vegetarian options as well as Korean chicken and Paneer Tikka slices on a rotating basis. Also on the menu are cauliflower, gluten free pies in variations including mushroom truffle, Il Capo, buffalo and backyard pie.
Wiseguy Pizza announced it will give away 500 free slices on Oct. 3 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The store’s hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Thompson Hospitality also owns Matchbox, Big Buns Damn Good Burgers, Hen Quarter and Milk & Honey.
