Montgomery County Police identified the victim as Michelle Gogan, 37, of Burtonsville.
According to police, Gogan was getting out of the passenger side of her parked vehicle when she was struck by the driver of a 2023 Mazda CX5 as that driver was attempting to enter an adjoining parking stall.
The driver struck Gogan, her vehicle and another parked car.

A woman died following a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the parking lot of a Giant in Burtonsville Thursday morning.
According to Montgomery County police, the collision occurred at 11:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Old Columbia Pike.
The woman, who became trapped beneath the vehicle, was transported to the hospital where she later died, according to police.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
