Once again, Chef Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen (WCK) Relief Team finds itself on the frontline of a disaster—this time on the Hawaiian island of Maui. In response to the governor’s declaration of a state of emergency, they deploy on the scene to offer support with food and water for first responders, displaced residents and tourists.
WCK partners with local restaurants, food trucks and emergency kitchens to serve meals to disaster survivors. They have provided more than 300 million fresh comforting meals to communities all over the world in times of crisis.

UPDATE from WCK's Pragnya on the Big Island. In addition to teams on Maui, we've been bringing sandwiches & fruit to first responders who've been working nonstop. Thankfully fires on the Big Island are under control—but we'll ensure anyone in need receives a meal. #ChefsForHawaii pic.twitter.com/eK7A6zojU4
